1. Acceptance of Terms

By adding Scrobbler to your Discord server or using any of its commands, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please remove the bot from your server and discontinue use.

2. Description of Service

Scrobbler is a Discord bot that integrates with the Last.fm API to provide music tracking, statistics, and social features within Discord servers. The service is provided free of charge.

3. Eligibility

You must comply with Discord's Terms of Service and be of the minimum age required to use Discord in your jurisdiction. Scrobbler is not directed at children under 13.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to abuse, exploit, or overload the bot with automated requests
• Use the bot to harass, spam, or harm other users
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the bot's code without permission
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose

5. Service Availability

Scrobbler is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice.

6. Third-Party Services

Scrobbler relies on the Last.fm API and Discord API. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party data.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scrobbler and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the bot after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.

1. What We Collect

Scrobbler collects and stores only the minimum data required to function:

• Discord User ID — to identify you across servers
• Last.fm username — to fetch your listening data from Last.fm
• Discord Server ID — to power server-specific features like /whoknows
• Cached statistics — temporary caches of Last.fm data to reduce API calls (e.g. Wrapped data)

2. What We Do Not Collect

We do not read, store, or process:

• The content of any Discord messages
• Your Discord username, avatar, or profile information
• Any data beyond what is explicitly listed above
• Payment information of any kind

3. How We Use Your Data

Your Discord User ID and Last.fm username are used solely to retrieve your listening data from Last.fm and display it in response to slash commands. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising or analytics.

4. Data Retention

Your linked account data is retained until you run /unlink, which permanently removes your Discord User ID and Last.fm username from our database. Cached data is automatically purged on a rolling basis.

5. Third-Party Services

Scrobbler fetches data from the Last.fm API. The data returned is governed by Last.fm's own privacy policy. We do not control what Last.fm collects about your listening activity.

6. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect stored data. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

7. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your data at any time by running /unlink in any server with Scrobbler, or by contacting us via GitHub. We will process deletion requests promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the bot constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
